MIYAZAWA Kenji is the poet, novelist, and amateur astronomer who lived in Japan in the early 20th century. Kenji was strongly infuenced by Willium MORRIS (1834-96), the British craftsman, designer, writer, typographer, and Socialist and one of the founder of the Arts and Crafts movenent in 19th century.

We made this Museum of the Forest called "Kenji to Morris no yakata" from the respect of Kenji and Morris as our personal cottage. However, we decided to open this cottage to the public to offer the opportunity to experience the "environmental arts."

We welcome anybody who wishs to enjoy this environment that you can experience the assimilation of the art, nature and the daily life, which is the major consistent idea of Kenji and Morris.
